After 246 kilometers: Sparta

Two Hungarian soldiers crossed the finish line. Colonel Attila Hadi and Sergeant First Class Emil Spisák both reached the statue of King Leonidas, completing the legendary distance between Athens and Sparta.

This is Colonel Hadi’s second Spartathlon, while Sergeant First Class Spisák completed the 246-kilometer course for the first time. Day and night, over hills and mountains – after 246 kilometers, they are standing there in Sparta.
The moment of crossing the finish line says it all: They did it.
