The elements of the Cyber Range have arrived at the Hungária körút campus of the National University of Public Service, Faculty of Military Science and Officer Training.
As a result of the cooperation of the US Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC) and the Hungarian Defence Forces, the virtual educational environment project has reached its final phase, as part of which new information technology solution package has arrived at the university. The virtual training environment solution package will be implemented, configured, tested, and handed over at the end of June, and the training of instructors will begin in the following period. The virtual training environment solution package for the Hungarian Defence Forces will enable the Hungarian to simulate cybersecurity environments on cyber ranges to run live-fires excerises to create realistic attack events.
The deployed environment also allows students and professionals in the field to practice in simulated environments how to interact with different domains and respond effectively to challenges from cyberspace. The virtual training environment allows the replication of any information network, i.e. digital infrastructure, including the local, cloud, remote solutions that are popular today, where students can observe the effects of malicious code and practice incident response activities in a secure environment.
