After reviewing changes in the European security environment, issues relating to the new European security strategy, and the regional and alliance-level defence implications of the Russia–Ukraine war, the two ministers agreed that collective security requires cutting-edge technological solutions and closer cooperation.

In this context, the possibilities for developing defence industry cooperation were raised.
“We reviewed the lessons learned from the war in Ukraine, with particular regard to the role of drone defence, counter-drone systems and air defence systems, and discussed how we can strengthen our cooperation in this area as well. The exchange of lessons learned between the air forces was also raised, so we examined opportunities for cooperation relating to the capabilities of the L-39NG Skyfox trainer aircraft, the JAS39 Gripen fighter aircraft and the KC-390 transport aircraft,” said Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi.
“In the context of developing military-to-military relations, the topic of defence cooperation among the Visegrád countries arose, with particular regard to the V4 EU Battlegroup. With my Defence Minister colleague, we reviewed the role played by the Headquarters Multinational Division Centre (HQ MND-C) and the multinational NATO Forward Land Forces Battle Group in Hungary (FLF BG HUN) in regional security,” wrote the Minister of Defence.
