Hungarian soldier receives NATO award

The personnel of NATO’s Allied Command Operations Allied Ground Surveillance Force (NAGSF) held its first staff meeting of the year in late February at Sigonella Air Base, Italy. NAGSF Commanding General Brigadier General Andrew M. Clark, assessed the tasks of the recent period, and then presented recognitions to soldiers for their outstanding performance last year.

Chief Warrant Officer István Tóth, a member of the Hungarian contingent received from the commander the Annual Award Winner (CAT-3) 2022 – the soldier of the year of the unit in warrant officer category. The chief warrant officer has been serving at his permanent duty station abroad since July 2021, as warrant officer assigned to the Training Center. During this time, he attended several school courses, broadened his knowledge and took an active part in the organization and management of cultural events. His superiors presented Chief Warrant Officer István Tóth with the award in recognition of his outstanding work done in his position and in the interest of the community.
