Memorial Running on the Occasion of the 25th Anniversary of NATO Accession
Text: Lieutenant Colonel Gábor Endrődi | Photo: by the author and the JFTC Public Affairs Office | 13:25 March 14, 2024The Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland recently organized together a memorial running in Bydgoszcz, Poland on the occasion of the three countries’ 25th anniversary of joining NATO, with the participation of soldiers serving at the NATO elements stationed in the garrison and their spouses.
Altogether 134 people (including Hungarian soldiers) completed the 3.5 km running in the cold weather conditions of Northern Poland typical of the season. To recognize their performance, they received the decoration designed for the 25th anniversary from the senior soldiers of the three nations, and the best were also awarded a gift package and a certificate.
