These Hungarian soldiers are protecting the peace of Hungary and Europe even from Bosnia and Herzegovina” – wrote Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky on his Facebook page Wednesday morning, 31 January.
The minister is in the Balkan country as a member of the Hungarian delegation that accompanies President of Hungary Katalin Novák to Bosnia and Herzegovina within the framework of a two-day official visit. On Tuesday, Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky had discussions with the leaders of the host country's defence ministry and visited the camp of the EUFOR Operation Althea, which helps to preserve the peace and security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“This year, not only the international mission is led by a Hungarian commander but the medical evacuation capability (MEDEVAC) is also provided by the Hungarian Defence Forces via two Airbus H145M helicopters and a Mi-17 helicopter” – underlined the defence minister in his message posted after the visit to the camp.
