At the end of his visit to Israel, a rocket attack struck Tel Aviv while he was on his way to the airport, wrote Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky on 5 December.
The minister posted on his Facebook profile that a few seconds following the alert by a mobile application, it was heard that the Iron Dome radar system destroyed the rockets fired at the city. According to the minister’s account, everyone behaved in a very disciplined way, “it is evident that they have a routine with this here”.
“Such is life now in Israel. Peace requires strength, we carry on with the work” – wrote the minister at the end of his post.
