The cooperation between the two countries’ armed forces can be realised on the level of special operations forces; in North Macedonia, with the joint development of high altitude and diver capabilities and in Hungary, with joint exercises and training events. Besides, the Hungarian Defence Forces plan to provide overall support in preparing the infantry battalion offered for NATO engagement by the Army of North Macedonia. Besides the soldiers’ preparation, the Hungarian party will also share the lessons learned about the Gidran tactical vehicles.
Within the framework of the annual Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan, the HDF offered the North Macedonian party participation possibilities in their international courses in Hungary.
Earlier, the chiefs of defence also agreed that five Hungarian military bandsmen would perform in the military band gala to be held in Skopje on 17 December.
