The exercise’s objective was to strengthen interoperability among air and land units during special operations.

Special Operations Air-Land Integration (SOALI) was at the centre of the training. This means that servicemembers learnt how to seamlessly coordinate the movement and tasks of aircraft, helicopters and ground forces during operations. Servicemembers gained experience in such key fields as Combat Control Team (CCT), the airmen of which can establish airfields even in austere or unprepared areas and provide air traffic control.

During the exercise, joint operations were carried out day and night, including, for instance, airborne insertions as well as the seizure of coastal areas and abandoned airfields. This was a great opportunity for the participants to cooperate with servicemembers from other NATO countries, as well as to share the lessons learned and thus become even more prepared for future tasks.
