Torrent of Medals to Military Athletes

Military athletes of the HDF Sports Company won a number of shiny medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe World Championships in Montreal.

Private First Class Dániel Fejes took second place in the C1 1000-metre race, while Corporal Zsóka Csikós arrived second in the K1 1000-metre race.

The Hungarian team consisting of Corporal Réka Kiskó, Angelina Szegedi, Dorina Decsi and Anna Mészáros finished fourth in the K4 500-metre race, as did the pair of Corporal Ágnes Kiss and Bianka Nagy in the C2 500-metre race.

The Hungarian team of Private First Class Dániel Fejes, Corporal István Juhász, Kristóf Kollár and Jonatán Hajdu won the gold medal in the C4 500-metre event at the championship.

In the afternoon finals on the last day, two Hungarian boats competed in the C2 500-metre race; the gold medal went to the pair of Corporal István Juhász and Kristóf Kollár, while the bronze medal was won by the pair of Private First Class Dániel Fejes and Jonatán Hajdu.

The team of Corporal Ágnes Kiss, Corporal Zsófia Csorba, Bianka Nagy and Réka Opavszky won the silver medal in the C4 500-metre event.

Private First Class Balázs Adolf took the top spot on the podium in the men’s C1 5000-metre race, as did Corporal Zsófia Csorba in the women’s C1 5000-metre race.
