Airmen of the Baltic Air Policing Mission at the Sándor Palace
Text: defence.hu | Photo: President of the Republic Dr. Tamás Sulyok’s Facebook page |  16:32 January 26, 2026At the invitation of Hungary’s President of the Republic Dr. Tamás Sulyok, the leadership of the HDF Baltic Air Policing Quick Reaction Alert Block 69 went on a visit to the Sándor Palace, including Contingent Commander Lieutenant Colonel Péter Tősér, Head of Logistic Department Lieutenant Colonel Norbert Szentesi, Chief of Staff Major Tamás Wenhardt and Command Chief Master Sergeant Chief Warrant Officer Attila Bács (CCM).

Dr. Tamás Sulyok expressed his appreciation for the performance of the Hungarian airmen serving in the Baltic region and gave thanks for their outstanding, disciplined and committed service, with which they have safeguarded and continue to safeguard the security of the airspace of Hungary and its allies.
Contingent Commander Lieutenant Colonel Péter Tősér underlined related to the visit that “It is a great honor for us that the president of the republic found it this important to give thanks to the personnel of the Baltic Air Policing Quick Reaction Alert Block 69 in person. This appreciation strengthens the service and sacrifice of each servicemember.”
The high-level meeting illustrates well that the service in the Baltic region and the international engagement of the Hungarian Defence Forces’ servicemembers in general do count, their achievements are visible and their performance is appreciated both nationally and internationally.
