Discussion at the forefront of defence

Israel is very experienced in the field of defence and has world-class, cutting-edge military technology. These discussions help us make sure that Hungary’s defence is prepared for the challenges of the future as well” – wrote Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky on his social media page on 26 January.
“The familiar world order is being transformed before our eyes, and Israel is a key actor in it. Over the last few years, the friendship between Hungary and Israel has further strengthened, Israel has always been able to rely on Hungary’s support. During the discussion, we have deepened our military-to-military relations and those that began in the field of defence industry and increased to a significant extent over recent years. Israel is developing and using the military technology of the future, which may constructively benefit Hungary. For this reason, it was important for me to meet with the Israeli defence minister here, in Tel Aviv. Peace requires strength, we continue with the work” – wrote the minister of defence.
