The two sides agreed that NATO membership is especially important for their countries – Hungary is celebrating the 25th and Albania the 15th anniversary of its accession this year –, as well as their active contribution to the activities and operations of the Alliance. Due to their geographical location, both countries assume an outstanding role in preserving the peace and security of the Western Balkans region.

During the meeting, the Albanian delegation received information about the Hungarian armed forces development program and the establishment of the reservist system, among others.
