Held in cooperation with the Serbian CBRN Centre, the exercise was really special, as the soldiers of the HDF 102nd CBRN Defence Regiment and the HDF 1st Special Operations Group were conducting the CBRN reconnaissance and SIBCRA training event with the use of live chemical warfare agents (CWA).

The soldiers were practicing the detection of various CWAs on different surfaces under changing weather conditions. They have acquired the use of the CBRN reconnaissance equipment as well as the sampling procedures described in the field manual on the Sampling and Identification of Biological, Chemical and Radiological Agents (SIBCRA), which enables them to use these procedures proficiently.

The soldiers experienced the tension caused by psychological stress in real-life circumstances, while at the same time learned about the efficient protective capacity of the CBRN suit and the gas mask.

Colonel József Veres, the commander of the CBRN defence regiment also visited the exercise conducted within the framework of Serbian–Hungarian cooperation. A conversation with the Serbian partners revealed that the Hungarian CBRN defence troops stand their ground in an international comparison as well. The commander of the CBRN Centre, Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Filipovic spoke highly of their outstanding discipline.
