On 17 July, Captain Dávid Szentendrei, a pilot from the “Puma” Tactical Squadron of the HDF 59th Dezső Szentgyörgyi Air Base won the prestigious award for the Best Solo Jet Demonstration.

The Hungarian pilot earned the Paul Bowen Award – which is named after the co-founder of RIAT – on Sunday with his JAS 39EBS HU Gripen demo flight that outshined other performances by all professional accounts. Thus, in the afternoon, Captain Szentendrei already held in his hands the special-shaped trophy symbolizing the award and the accompanying certificate.
