A delegation of the Qatar Armed Forces paid a three-day official visit to Camp Novo Selo in Kosovo, including the Hungarian-led KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTRBN). The delegation was led by Brigadier General Ramzan Hamad Al-Naimi, Commander of the Qatar Armed Forces Joint Warfare Training Center. The delegation also included Prince Jassim Nasser Al-Thani, a captain in the Qatar Armed Forces.

During the visit, the Qatari senior military leaders received a comprehensive overview of KFOR’s mission and tasks, as well as the KTRBN’s daily operations and operational activities. As part of the programme, they observed a tactical demonstration showcasing not only the battalion’s capabilities but also those of cooperating sub-units. In addition, they gained insight into the execution of patrol tasks and attended, as observers, a training session focused on responding to a fire incident. The visit concluded with the delegation observing the daily patrol activities of a Hungarian LMT (Liaison and Monitoring Team).

The opportunity for strengthened multinational cooperation also demonstrates that the Hungarian Defence Forces are not only a key contributor to NATO, but also a reliable and recognised partner in the execution of the KFOR mission.
