The parties agreed that illegal migration continues to place a considerable burden on Europe. The stability of the Western Balkans is among the important strategic interests of Hungary; therefore, we consider controlling the migration routes in the Balkans as a priority.

Related to the strengthening Hungarian–North Macedonian relations, the parties explored the possibilities for further expanding and developing the cooperation. Besides, they covered the current issues of NATO, including the results of the Summit in the Hague and the challenges of meeting the new capability targets required of the countries.
