Hungarian Recognition at Leapfest 2026

The members of the four-person teams made their jumps from a CH-47 Chinook helicopter, from a height of approximately 450 meters, using MC–6 steerable parachutes. The competitors’ task was to reach the designated target in the shortest possible time after landing.
Soldiers from the HDF Special Operations Command finished in the middle of the rankings in both the individual and team competitions. The highlight of the Hungarian team’s performance was the recognition received by Chief Warrant Officer Cs. R., who was given the award named after Chief Warrant Officer Christopher Callan, reserved for the best international jump commander.
Leapfest is not just a competition, but also a joint professional training event, which provides an opportunity for paratroopers from different countries to exchange experiences and collaborate.
