HDF Gripen Crashes near Szolnok

There were no casualties, as it appears the pilot did everything possible to ensure the crashed aircraft landed within the military base,” said Dr Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, Minister of Defence, in a video posted on his Facebook page.
A fighter jet belonging to the HDF crashed this morning, a few minutes after 10.00, at the military base in Szolnok, for unknown reasons and under circumstances that remain unclear.
An investigation is underway, with experts being called in to examine the circumstances of the accident.
Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi set off for the scene with General Zsolt Sándor, Chief of the HDF Defence Staff, so that they can provide accurate information.
