Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky wrote in his post that “Peace is in focus. We have visited the Civil-Military Coordination Center. We are proud that our country also participates in the coordination body’s work, thus supporting the peace process”.

According to the minister, the Center is “today among the most important places in the world”, where the international organization recently established by the president of the United States to support the disarmament and peace process in Gaza is working. “This organization helps and shapes the peace process in Gaza.” There is probably nothing more important that could happen in the Middle East now, wrote Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, adding that “we are here to understand” exactly how it works.

The minister underlined that “there is also Hungarian participation”, “we are part of the process, through which we safeguard the Hungarian citizens’ security”. The security of the Middle East also means the security of Europe as a whole, including Hungary, he declared, and added that “peace requires strength, we carry on with the work”.
