Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky said that he had attended the European Air Defense Conference in Paris, at which French President Emmanuel Macron had also delivered a speech, and the letter of intent had been signed during this event. He added that the signatories to the letter of intent are Belgium, Estonia, Cyprus, France and Hungary.

The minister also said that in his speech, President Macron had highlighted the significance of European defence industry besides the importance of air defence. “Hungary is performing well in this field, our defence industry is developing. Peace requires strength, we carry on with the work” – emphasized Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky.
