Inspection at NATO Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum
Text: National Military Representation of the Hungarian Defence Forces | Photo: by the Representation |  12:35 November 26, 2025Major General László Sticz PhD, National Military Representative at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) recently paid a professional visit to Headquarters NATO Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFC Brunssum).

Major General László Sticz PhD held professional discussions at NATO’s Allied Joint Force Command in Brunssum, the Netherlands with the personnel stationed in the garrison who are posted there on permanent unarmed service abroad, and also visited the chief of staff of JFC Brunssum.
The discussion was headed by Senior National Representative (SNR) Colonel József Csősz, and its topics included a review of the personnel’s activity in designated specialized areas. Major General László Sticz PhD gained an insight into the living and service conditions of Hungarian servicemembers on their tour of duty abroad. Subsequently, during a discussion with the SNR, international lecturers held presentations on the special tasks involved in capabilities connected with the main functional areas of the JFC such as operational planning, deterrence, defence, interoperability, training, and the support and sustainment of multi-domain, integrated operations. They spoke highly of the results of the joint and whole-of-government country defence Exercise Adaptive Hussars 2025, which was conducted this autumn.

In what followed, the National Military Representative at SHAPE was shown around the multinational operations control centre of JFC Brunssum which covers the domains of land, air, sea, cyberspace and space.
As part of the program, Major General László Sticz PhD had a discussion with Lieutenant General Jean-Pierre Perrin, Chief of Staff, JFC Brunssum. The French lieutenant general thanked the Hungarian national military representative for his visit, and spoke with appreciation about the professional activity and preparedness of the Hungarian servicemembers serving in the garrison. He also pointed out Hungary’s contribution to NATO’s force and capabilities commitments, which have a key role in strengthening the collective defence of the Alliance.
