Our discussions will centre around deepening the defence cooperation and strengthening the Eastern Flank”, wrote Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky on his social media page related to his trip to Croatia. At the first stage of his visit, the defence minister met with his Croatian counterpart, Defence Minister Ivan Anušić, in Osijek on 20 October, where they visited together the Orqa drone factory.

Osijek “is a centre of Croatian innovation and technological development; the Orqa drone factory – which has become a key player in the Croatian defence industry by today – operates here”, wrote Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky.
In connection with the cooperation between the two countries, the defence minister also recalled in his post Croatia’s significant contributions to the Headquarters Multinational Division Centre (HQ MND-C) in Székesfehérvár and to the multinational Forward Land Force Battle Group (FLF BG HUN).
