Soldiers of the HDF 1st Armoured Brigade participated in the armoured engineer vehicle recovery towing international exercise Iron Bull 2025 in Garlstedt, Germany, between 4 and 10 October, where they learnt recovery towing practices, which are, fortunately, rarely needed in peacetime, but decisive in case of disasters and possible armed conflicts.
This was the first time that our soldiers represented the Hungarian Defence Forces on this annual exercise, and the WiSENT 2HU armoured recovery engineer vehicle was also introduced for the first time at the exercise.

Our soldiers introduced the vehicle’s capabilities with outstanding professional preparedness and performance, and they had the valuable opportunity to share the lessons learned with international partners.
Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and Hungary participated in the exercise. The state-of-the-art technology and the knowledge of Hungarian soldiers together mean real strength on the international stage.
