The minister said that migration from the south is among today’s biggest security threats to Europe. By joining forces, Hungary and Chad intend to counter one of its root causes, terrorism, which is further strengthened by an agreement on strategic partnership signed on Monday.
“Chad is one of the last stable states of the Sahel, where the government of Hungary supports the solution of the humanitarian crisis that arose due to the large number of people fleeing from the armed conflict in neighboring Sudan, the economic upturn as well as effective action against terrorism” – said the minister.
