The NATO Summit in Washington is due within two weeks. Hungary has been a member of the 75-year-old military alliance for 25 years now, he recalled.
Hungary is a committed and loyal ally of NATO; however, it does not provide any money, weapons or soldiers to the Alliance’s engagement in coordinating the training and the delivery of weapons to Ukraine, but neither does Hungary block this activity, wrote the minister.
“I informed David Pressman about the step taken by the Hungarian government which affects US troops serving at Pápa Air Base. The draft proposal enabling US military personnel who serve in Hungary to receive a Hungarian license plate in a simplified procedure may soon enter the phase of public consultation” – wrote the minister in his post.
