Long-term Cooperation in the Field of CBRN Defence

In the discussion led by the HDF Defence Staff Operations Directorate, the CBRN regiment’s role in the Military Disaster Management System and the possibilities for the force regrouping required for this were covered. The goal is to create a complex capability package, using the American lessons learned. The parties agreed that they would examine the joint training possibilities – that would contribute to the creation of the capability package in the CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) field – both in the United States and Hungary.

During the visit, the guests learned about the elements of the military sub-system of the National Nuclear Emergency Response System, as well as the military equipment and capabilities of the sub-units. Besides, they saw the CBRN defence assets and specialized equipment in the framework of a static display.
