Medal Parade for the Hungarian Contingent in Kosovo
Text: defence.hu | Photo: KFOR |  09:34 March 3, 2025In the last week of February, the 31st rotation of the Hungarian Defence Forces KFOR (Kosovo Force) Contingent finished its service in the Novo Selo camp in Kosovo.

The NATO Non-Article 5 medals were awarded to those soldiers who had completed their first mission in the Balkan theater.
The event was attended by Colonel dr. Géza Gulyás, Deputy Chief of Operations of the KFOR Staff and Senior National Representative, as well as László Domján, Ambassador and EU Integration Advisor from the Hungarian Embassy in Pristina.
In his speech, Colonel dr. Gulyás highlighted that the Tactical Reserve Battalion is highly regarded at the KFOR Headquarters, as Hungarian soldiers consistently meet the high expectations of NATO and KFOR leadership with their competence, thorough professional training, and outstanding execution of duties in every situation.

Following this, Lieutenant Colonel Tibor Dancs, Commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces’ KFOR 31st Contingent and the KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion, expressed his gratitude to the personnel for their six months of service.
After the presentation of the NATO medals, several soldiers received commendations for their outstanding performance.
