On 3 March, Hungarian troops serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) received their peacekeeping medals in a medal parade.

The 16 Hungarian soldiers concerned have been serving at UNIFIL Position (UNP) 2-45 near At-Tiri, and at UNP 6-50 along the Israeli border for six months, as part of the multinational Irish–Polish battalion (IRISHPOLBATT).

The celebration was also attended by the commanders and senior national representatives of nearby battalions, by UNIFIL Sector West Commander Brigadier General Roberto Vergori, as well as by Hungarian Defence Attaché to Lebanon Colonel József Gulyás, each of whom thanked the personnel and the Polish contingent commander for the joint work.
