The event was organized by the MoD Department for International Cooperation. During it, the military attachés listened to comprehensive presentations about the structure and tasks of the two units. The two presentations were held by Colonel Krisztián Kovács, Commander, HDF 86th Helicopter Wing and Colonel Gábor Antal, Deputy Commander, HDF Special Operations Command.

Slovak defence attaché Colonel Roland Bartalkovics, said that “the goals of today’s visit are to bring the Budapest Military Attaché Corps closer to the units of the Hungarian Defence Forces, and to learn about the capabilities of the modernized armed forces in Szolnok”. Colonel Bartalkovics spoke highly of the infrastructural developments in the barracks, highlighting the modern and expressly human-centered layout of the installation.

As part of the professional program, the guests had opportunity to test the helicopter simulators of the base. The visit was closed with a spectacular static display, where the military diplomats were able to take a closer look at the helicopters, the Polaris off-road vehicles as well as the weaponry and equipment of the units.
