Brigadier General Ernő Péter Siposs, Deputy Commander of Headquarters Multinational Division Centre, gave a lecture to students majoring in international security and defence studies on April 29 in Budapest.
For the students of University of Public Service, Faculty of Military Science and Officer Training the brigadier general gave a presentation in the working language of the multinational organisation, in English.
During his talk, Brigadier General Siposs presented the purpose of the division headquarters, the reason for its establishment, as well as its future relationship with NATO, and described its tasks. He covered the requirements for initial and full operational capability, the essential differences between the two.
His briefing also covered the exercise for Combat Readiness Evaluation (CREVAL) planned for next year; preparing for this is already the centre of gravity of the organisation's main efforts.
At the end of the lecture, followed by the questions and answers session, Brigadier General Siposs expressed his hope that he would meet as many – currently still civilian – students in the large family of the Hungarian Defence Forces in the future.
