Reporting from the U.S.: Everyone Knows the Drill!
Text: Territorial Defence Forces | Photo: First Lieutenant Áron Schwanner | 10:48 July 20, 2026Hungarian reservists participating in the Ohio National Guard’s Combat Readiness Exercise 2026 (CRX26) took up their designated starting positions on the wooded terrain of Camp Grayling Training Center. The area spans nearly 147,000 hectares, almost three times the size of Budapest, and is dotted with pine forests.
The company staff has set up its command post, from which it coordinates the movement of personnel and the execution of tasks in cooperation with U.S. soldiers. The field staff began setting up camp: they established their resting areas and organized their defences, but there was little time for rest, as their first assignments arrived the very next day.
Over the next few days, they will carry out complex combat exercises, respond to unexpected situations, and work with their American comrades to improve their interoperability.
