A sniper of the Hungarian Defence Forces Special Operations Command recently won first place at the T-Class Tactical Sniper National Cup 2026 international marksmanship competition organized in Bulgaria.
At the competition held in the training area Nikolaevo Training Centre and on its shooting range in late May, the Hungarian Defence Forces were represented by two snipers of the HDF Special Operations Command. Among the participants from many countries of the world, Staff Sergeant F. P. N. won first place, and Sergeant First Class D. L. also finished high up among the 50 entrants. In recognition of their outstanding performance, both of them have been invited to the T-Class Mile World Cup (2 shooters – teamwork), which is to take place in the autumn.
Modeling realistic combat circumstances, T-Class is one of the world’s best-known competition systems, where the participants must demonstrate their marksmanship skills as well as their physical stamina and tactical preparedness.
The Tactical Sniper in the T-Class system corresponds to a classical sniper event. The participants of the latest competition carried out tasks in circumstances made more difficult that could be created in a Hungarian environment only to a limited extent. They had to perform complex shooting tasks on varied terrain under challenging wind conditions.
Throughout the duration of the competition, the participants endured heavy physical and mental load, which was further increased by the strict time limits and the complex series of tests.
The achieved results reflect well the high-level professional preparedness and internationally recognized excellent skills of the personnel of the HDF Special Operations Command.
