New commander, unchanged objectives

Headquarters Multinational Division Centre (HQ MND-C) has a new commander in the person of Brigadier General Tibor Králik. On Monday, 31 July Croatian Major General Denis Tretinjak passed the command to the Slovakian general in Alba Regia barracks, Székesfehérvár.

The Skylark procurement project has come to an end

Pro Patria Electronics Ltd., a Hungarian military electronics service provider, held a project completion ceremony of the Skylark-1 LEX and Skylark-3 unmanned aerial reconnaissance systems’ delivery on Tuesday, December 6th, at the Stefánia Palace - Honvéd Cultural Centre in Budapest. At the event, Major General Ferenc Kajári, Group Chief of the Military National Security Service Reconnaissance Group Headquarters, praised the military force development project carried out in cooperation between the Budapest-based company and the Israeli defence company Elbit.

Commander’s visit to the international forces

After seeing the command post of the NATO enhanced Vigilance Activity Battle Group (HUN eVA BG) in Tata, Lieutenant General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi PhD, Commander, Hungarian Defence Forces paid a visit to inspect the international forces stationed in Camp Croft, Újmajor, where, among others, he was informed about the accommodation circumstances as well as the already executed and the planned tasks.

V4 – Transformation Program 2022

Between 12–14 June, as a closing event of the Hungarian presidency of the Visegrád Cooperation, the event “V4 Innovation Challenge Day – Military Autonomous Systems” focusing on the challenges for autonomous driving was held at the Innovation Center of the University of Debrecen. Built by the Czech, Hungarian and Slovak teams, the electrically powered vehicles with autonomous self-driving capability demonstrated their capacities and speed in covering specific distances and executing tasks on a speedway and an obstacle course.

Headquarters Multinational Division Centre activated

Based on its Activation Document issued on 3 May, the North Atlantic Council activated with immediate effect the Headquarters Multinational Division Centre (HQ MND-C) located in Székesfehérvár. The activation ceremony was held on Tuesday, 10 May.

Forward defence must be established on the eastern flank
