During their NATO Combat Readiness Evaluation of Land Headquarters and Units (NATO CREVAL) week, the ISR Battalion of the HDF 2nd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Regiment has to react to continuous incidents at several sites. Among others, in Hajdúhadház, where the army scouts had to detect the infiltration of a small long-range reconnaissance patrol (LRRP). The ISR personnel successfully accomplished the task with the use of day/night observation devices.
Complex tasks and modern drone capabilities in allied harmony

State-of-the-art technological developments and international cooperation recently played the main role at an airbase near Beja, Portugal. Together with Portuguese, Spanish and Belgian service personnel, the soldiers of the ISTAR UAV company of the HDF 2nd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Regiment used various types of fixed-wing UAVs in practicing the reconnoitering of enemy activity, the monitoring of vehicles and the surveillance of facilities on the ground and the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean.
International Exercise Golden Serve 2025

Members of the HDF 2nd ISR Regiment were exercising together with German and Austrian army scouts for two weeks in the framework of Exercise Golden Serve 2025 in Freyung, Germany.

Like in earlier years, the soldiers of the HDF 2nd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Regiment recently lined up on Bakonykút Military Training Base, where the international exercise series Bornemissza Fokos (Bornemissza Axe) 2024, Rejtett Portya (Covert Raid) 2024 and Strong Will 2024 started by reading out the field order.
Golden Serve 2024

The joint exercise of the HDF 2nd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Regiment and its German sister unit is in full swing, with the participation of the two units’ soldiers trained in electronic warfare (EW), operational, tactical and long-range reconnaissance, as well as UAV ISR operations.
