On Tuesday, 12 May, in Budapest, President of Hungary Tamás Sulyok appointed the ministers of Péter Magyar’s government, so the new cabinet has been formed. Hungary’s new Minister of Defence is Dr. Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi.

The next Hungarian astronaut has been selected. Tibor Kapu may become the Hungarian to go to space –Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky recently announced on his social media page. The Hungarian Defence Forces have played a major role in preparing the astronauts.
Hungary supports the peace initiative

“Hungary supports and is open to take part in any peace initiative that creates a feasible environment for a lasting ceasefire in Ukraine and creates a roadmap toward a sustainable and just peace”, stated President of Hungary Katalin Novák in her speech at the UN Security Council in New York on Wednesday, which is unprecedented on the part of Hungarian heads of state in decades.

On Saturday, 22 April Prime Minister Viktor Orbán conducted negotiations with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić: the main topic of their discussion was the deepening of defence industrial cooperation between the two countries, the Prime Minister’s Press Chief Bertalan Havasi told Hungarian News Agency MTI.
