Reservist Corporal Gergő Havasi, a military sportsman of the HDF Sports Company, undertakes the challenge of crossing the Atlantic Ocean rowing 5,200 km with Norbert Szabó. The physically and mentally demanding expedition will start from the Canary Islands at the beginning of December and is planned to end at the island of Antigua.

On 21 November, in the organization of the HDF General Staff, the deputy military representatives of the European Union Military Committee (EUMC) visited the Tata-based HDF 1st Armored Brigade within the framework of the program of the Hungarian EU presidency. The experts learned about the functioning of the unit and saw the Cupola, the simulation center of the Brigade, as well as the armored military equipment.

After the 20 November session of the Defence Council, Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky gave a report in a video message on the situation created by the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. The minister said that “to prepare for all possibilities, I have ordered that the newly procured air surveillance and air defence assets and the capabilities built on them be fielded in the north-eastern part of Hungary”.

Moroccan-Hungarian Defence Policy Cooperation

During the visit, he had a bilateral discussion with Saïfeddine Senouci, Director for Procurements and Financial Cooperation at the Ministry of Defence of Morocco, and Brigadier General Naoufal Raissouni, Head of the General Affairs Department at the National Administration of Defence.
