A Torrent of Soldiers’ Medals in Poland

They won three gold and five silver medals in the individual events, one bronze medal in the pairs, and, as members of the fours, one gold and one silver.

Private First Class Dániel Fejes became world champion in the C-1 1,000 meters with a stunning performance at the World Canoe Championships in Poland. Thanks to this military athlete, a Hungarian competitor has once again stood on the top of the podium in this event after 13 years.
Corporal Zsóka Csikós won gold in the K-1 1,000 meters, while corporal Ágnes Kiss won silver in the C-1 500 meters at the World Canoe Championships.

The military team comprising Private First Class Dániel Fejes, Corporal István Juhász, Kristóf Kollár and Jonatán Hajdu won the world championship title in the C-4 500-meter event. The Hungarian team comprising Corporal Ágnes Kiss, Corporal Zsófia Csorba, Bianka Nagy and Réka Opavszky also won a silver medal in the C-4 500 meters in Poland.
Private First Class Ádám Varga took second place on the podium in the K-1 500 meters, while the team comprising Corporal István Juhász and Kristóf Kollár won the bronze medal in the C-2 500 meters. Setting a relentless pace throughout, Corporal Anna Lucz won silver in the K1 200 meters at the World Canoe Championships.
In the C-1 5,000 meters, Private First Class Balázs Adolf became world champion, while Corporal Zsófia Csorba won silver at the world championships. Emese Kőhalmi, who recently joined the HDF Sports Company, took second place on the podium in the women’s K-1 5,000 meters at the World Canoe Championships in Poland.
