Annual Reception at the Logistic Command

As a privileged logistic partner, the Hungarian Defence Forces were also invited.


Hungary was represented by Brigadier General Ferenc Solymosi, Commander, HDF Logistic Support Command, who is also the co-president of the Multinational Structured Partnership in Logistics (MN SPiL), and Lieutenant Colonel Mihály Antal, project manager responsible for the German-Hungarian relations of the HDF Defence Staff Logistic Directorate, was also present.
Before the event, Brigadier General Solymosi met with Colonel Andreas Wagner, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Bundeswehr Logistics Command, and Colonel Karel Zapletal, Czech co-president of the MN SpiL. At the meeting, they shortly discussed procurement tasks, related infrastructural investments and their complexity.
As part of the event, the brigadier general also met with Major General Jochen Deuer, the logistics commander of the Bundeswehr, who thanked Hungary for its activity in the MN SpiL, and also underlined the significance of building a joint tactical-level logistic capability. Meanwhile, he informed the delegation that, based on the Hungarian example, they plan to receive Czech and Dutch exchange officers at the command in the future.
During the event, the Hungarian commander met Colonel Jason Achille Berdou, representative of the American 21st Theater Sustainment Command, discussing the possibilities for future cooperation. Colonel Berdou indicated that they plan to invite Hungary in September to strengthen the previous relations.
Besides Hungary, military logistics representatives and numerous regional political leaders from the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and the United States also participated in the annual reception.
