In his first combat, Vitek wrestled with the Russian Sergey Semenov, the future winner, defending champion, Olympic bronze medallist and world champion, who competed representing Individual Neutral Athletes. Then, Vitek continued in the losers’ bracket, where Danila Sotnikov, representing Italy, waited for him, and with a convincing wrestling performance, he took away Sotnikov’s possibility to gain a medal. For the bronze medal, Vitek stepped on the tatami against the Belarusian Dzmitry Zarubski, who did not have a chance against the Hungarian athlete. Therefore, the athletes of the Sports Company have already gained two medals at the championships lasting until Sunday.
