At the meeting, the two sides discussed, among others, the current issues of NATO and the EU, the developments of the Russo-Ukrainian War as well as the main aspects of bilateral military and defence cooperation. They agreed that they take common positions in several defence policy fields.

Both countries call for the earliest possible ending of the Russo-Ukrainian War, and consider it important that the member states have started talking about a political settlement in EU and NATO forums as well. Speaking about Europe’s defence and the European defence industry, the French partner praised and highly appreciated the efforts made by the Hungarian EU presidency to develop a general approach in the Council of the EU to the European Defence Industrial Strategy.
