The soldiers of the 35th Contingent of the Hungarian Defence Forces KFOR, including the personnel of the KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTRBN)— were assigned complex Crowd Riot Control (CRC) and tactical tasks during the Full Mission Capability (FMC) assessment. The troops were tested to verify that they are fully prepared to carry out peacekeeping tasks and handle unexpected situations.
The maneuver companies of the Hungarian-led KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTRBN)— lead by Lieutenant Colonel Róbert Kiss—were supported during the exercise by other elements of the mission, further strengthening coordinated international cooperation.
According to the scenario, the simulated crowd first attempted to overpower the NATO forces through verbal provocation and later through aggressive tactics, including Molotov cocktails, but the soldiers kept the situation under control through disciplined and resolute actions, employing crowd-control and other coercive measures.
The successful FMC exam clearly demonstrates that the 35th Contingent of the HDF KFOR is capable of meeting NATO requirements and contributing to maintaining peace and security in Kosovo throughout its tour of duty.
