The participants of the WWI memorial journey first visited Redipuglia, the votive chapel on the top of the war memorial, and then the Austro-Hungarian military cemetery in Fogliano. Antal Spányi, Diocesan Bishop of Székesfehérvár offered a prayer for the soldiers killed in action, and consecrated the new bell of the Hungarian Chapel in Visintini, which was prepared from the donations of Székesfehérvár residents.
The participants of the memorial journey paid their tribute to those Hungarian troops who had fallen in the battles of Doberdo and the Isonzo.
Tamás Vargha said thanks to his Italian and Slovenian colleagues for assisting with the maintenance of the memorial sites. He said that these memorial sites are a few kilometers away from the venue of those battles, where tens of thousands of troops of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy had been killed in action during the First World War.
