The consultation provided an excellent opportunity to present the Hungarian position regarding defence policy challenges, which the Portuguese side acknowledged with openness. Both our country and Portugal consider the challenges in the south of Europe generated by migration and terrorism as a priority, and are committed to deepening cooperation both in their involvement in Africa, and in the fields of defence policy, military, and defence industry.
During the meeting, the parties agreed on that it would be beneficial for the two countries to focus on the issues connecting them, and they would further strengthen their bilateral relations within the Alliance.
