Military attachés on a factory visit

The defence attachés participating in the visit organized by the Department for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Defence were received by Mihály Czeglédi, Director of Business Development, DND Hungary Zrt. The director presented in detail the plant with a floor area of 600-plus square meters, where production of the launch tubes of the semi-disposable, shoulder-launched RGW 110 ordered by the Hungarian Defence Forces is about to start soon.

The goal of the joint German-Hungarian project launched in 2023 is to establish the Hungary-based production and assembly of components of the anti-tank guided weapons with High-Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) and High-Explosive Squash Head (HESH) capabilities. The latest battlefield experience also goes into the development of the warheads in Germany.

The rocket-propelled grenade of the RGW 110 has a tandem warhead with penetration up to 1000 mm of rolled homogenous armor (RHA). Its armor-piercing capability remains significant even after destroying the reactive armor of enemy combat vehicles.

The military attachés spoke highly of the high-level, partly or fully automated workflow at the workstations, and received information about the status of the company’s future projects.
