The delegation attended professional lectures to learn about the structure and organization of the Hungarian Defence Forces as well as the results of the development of the armed forces so far; and also with the mission, structure and task system of the Székesfehérvár-based Headquarters Multinational Division Centre (HQ MND-C) and the NATO Force Integration Unit (NFIU HUN). The military representatives visited several HDF units as well.
While at the HDF 1st EOD and Riverine Guard Regiment, they were given a glimpse, among others, into the task execution of EOD technicians and the history and the existing traditions of Hungarian riverine warship service – including that of the riverine guard service – which was established 175 years ago. As the next leg of their program, they visited the Tata-based HDF 1st Armored Brigade, where they had the opportunity to see the state-of-the-art military equipment of the Hungarian armed forces.
The delegation finished its visit at the HDF 47th Airbase in Pápa, where its members saw the Boeing C-17 Globemaster III heavy transport aircraft of the Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) Program, and then returned to Belgium aboard an Airbus A319 airplane of the Hungarian Defence Forces.
