NATO Evaluations at the HDF Air Operations Command and Control Centre
Text: HDF AOCC | Photo: by the unit | 11:16 October 22, 2026The NATO Technical Evaluations (TECHEVALs) carried out in Medina and Kup are an important milestone in assessing the adequacy of Hungarian military capabilities to meet Allied requirements.
The SHAPE Technical Evaluations (Agile Combat Employment Air Defence Ground Environment (AADGE) Site Radar Heads (RH) Medina and Kup) are aimed at examining whether the military equipment and CIS networks in use as well as their operation and logistic support meet NATO’s technical standards, the regulations concerning interoperability and the operational requirements.
The achieved result is a significant professional performance, which reflects the preparedness, dedication and high-level service of the personnel participating in preparation, operation and technical support. The evaluation promotes the joint deployment of Hungarian capabilities with Allied forces.
The successful evaluations strengthen mutual trust among Allied and the role of Hungarian military capabilities in supporting NATO tasks. At the same time, the results are a worthy recognition of all those service members and professionals who have contributed to achieving the set objectives through their preparedness and commitment.
