On 18 March, Lieutenant General Juan Pablo Sanchez de Lara, Commander, NATO’s Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC), Torrejon, Spain paid an official visit to the Hungarian Defence Forces Air Operation Command and Control Centre (HDF AOCCC), Veszprém. The NATO CAOC Torrejon Commander was received by Brigadier General Dr. Tamás Bali, Deputy Commander, HDF Joint Operations Command.

During the visit, Brigadier General Tamás Bardon, Commander, HDF AOCCC informed Lieutenant General Sanchez de Lara in detail about the current situation and tasks of Hungarian air defence, and then he was personally shown around in the Rock, Hungary’s air control and command centre. Within his program, he was shown the Control and Reporting Centre, the air operations room, as well as the simulator centre of the base.
At the end of his visit, the Commander of NATO CAOC Torrejon expressed his satisfaction with what he had seen and with the state of readiness of Hungarian airspace defence.
