OPS seminar for Exercise Alligator Sword 2021

Following exercise “DEFENDER EUROPE 2021” conducted in June, HQ MND-C personnel are preparing for another challenge. Soldiers of the multinational headquarters will take an active part in the computer-assisted exercise “ALLIGATOR SWORD 2021” to be held in November in Germany under the leadership of Münster-based 1GNC. The delegation of the corps headquarters arrived to Hungary with the aim to prepare the operational implementation of the exercise together with their Székesfehérvár-based counterparts and to discuss issues arising in the field.

During the visit, the delegation was first briefed on the development and actual status of the HQ MND-C, as well as on the current and forthcoming tasks of the Operations Directorate (G3). In addition to the mutual exchange of information and experience, in the course of the seminar they discussed, among other things, the operational implementation of the exercise, as well as the various decision-making events (such as ROC drills and wargaming) and the battle rhythm of the operations management.

The seminar provided a perfect platform for HQ MND-C to present in detail their OPLAN for the exercise. As principal enablers to the HQ MND-C Command and Control (C2) services, the deployable communications network elements provided to the division headquarters set-up in accordance with the Hungarian and NATO regulations were also introduced.
