At the invitation of the principal of the Károly Kratochvil Military Secondary School and Student Hostel, a three-member delegation from the cadet school in Belgrade recently arrived for a three-day visit to Hungary to learn about the Debrecen-based educational institution and explore the possibilities for tighter cooperation in the future.

The Serbian delegation, with the Serbian defence attaché and the principal of the cadet school in Belgrade, Lieutenant Colonel Blagoje Dacic, visited the Károly Kratochvil Military Secondary School in Debrecen. The school has four premises in the country; the governing board of the school in Hódmezővásárhely was also present at the three-day meeting.

The partner school of the Debrecen-based institution is in the Czech Republic and the relationship between the parties is outstanding: they organize bilateral visits and joint events each year. The Kratochvil is also an active member of the EU Military Secondary School Forum (EUMSSF), in the framework of which the school has an opportunity for professional consultation with the partner schools.

The possibility of further expanding the international relations of the military secondary school with the one in the Serbian capital has arisen based on the favourable experiences, said the host, Lieutenant Colonel András Fekete, principal of the Károly Kratochvil Military Secondary School and Student Hostel.

The high-school prom of the institution in Debrecen was also at the time of the visit, so, of course, the guests also visited this illustrious event. They were introduced to the structure of the school; they visited workshops, saw a tradition-preserving demonstration, had the opportunity for informal discussions with the cadets and teachers of the school, and were informed about the characteristics of the Hungarian cadet program.
